Kintypes description

I never did describe my kintypes anywhere in this website, did I? That's my bad. I have three main kintypes: I'm a watcher first and foremost, I'm a winged cat, and I'm a dog.

Alterhuman 'types list:

  • Watcherkin (from EvoSMP and Life Series SMP)
  • Winged catkin (White cat and magpie hybrid)
  • Dog therian (Greyhound)
  • Moonhearted
  • Phantomhearted
  • Child of the moon archetrope
  • Lab experiment archetrope
  • Prey archetrope

Watcher

I've already described watchers in my "Home" section, but I wanted to use this oportunity to expand a bit on that.

A watcher is a being made of wings and eyes. Usually they depict themselves as bipedal human-like creatures with purple wings. Sometimes they may have other bird characteristics, specially if they are avians, but they can take multiple forms. These forms are used for their convenience and to blend in better in the world.

Their most common form, the winged player, is mostly tall, covered with a purple cloak and cape. Their feet and hands are made of bird talons, and their faces are human-like, with a pair or multiple pair of eyes, a human nose or a bird beak, and a mouth with sharp teeth. Usually their wings are big and covered with feathers, a deep dark purple or black, with a pair of eyes hidden under their feathers. They can also have bird talons in their hands and feet. There may be two or four wings, depending on the watcher's rank. Usually higher ranks have more wings than the lower ranks. They may have a bird tail, a lean tail finished in a tuft, or both.

Biologically, watchers are technically not alive, but they’re also not dead. It’s some kind of in-between. They can’t be killed, they are immortals, but they are more or less bound to the rules of its worlds. Watchers don’t need to sleep, eat, drink, etc. Because they are not technically mortals, they can’t die “normally” (of old age), but they can still bleed and get hurt by external forces (they can’t starve to death or be poisoned, for example). They have four “main components”: Its cape, its mask, its wings, and its form. Its cape is a gift from the Universe, made of void and stars. It’s used to hide its inner form to players and mobs, so they don’t get scared of its. A watcher’s true form can only be seen by other watchers. To the outside World, they are invisible. Its mask is made of a solid material, and it can’t be destroyed. It’s usually white with eyes and the EVO symbol drawn in it. A watcher can’t Watch worlds without its mask, otherwise it won’t be able to concentrate on what they need to do. The wings were a gift from its superiors, to get around the worlds. They are big, featherly, black and purple. They have eyes on them, to Watch better. To Watch, watchers need to extend its wings.

Winged cat

Next, the winged cat. This is the first kintype I discovered, and was my only species for a long time. In appearance, it looks like a white cat with long-ish white fur and blue eyes. Its fur in its cheeks and tail is longer, with lots of fur in its ears and paws, fur almost entirely white. My eyes are blue, a light blue, almost grey when the light hits right. The pads are brown, with a dark-colored nose. The end of my tail is black, but it is the only part of my fur that it's another color.

My wings are not just wings, but the ones of a magpie. They are black, grey, blue, green with spots of white. Because they're magpie wings, I also feel some kind of kinship to magpies, as there's lots of them where I live. I exhibit some behaviours as well. Because of all this, I believe that the winged cat kintype it's actually a hybrid between a magpie and a domestic cat.

This kintype is mostly psychological, but also spiritual, as I believe I was a winged cat in a past life. I act a lot like this kintype, and also got lots of shifts.

Dog

I also have a dog kintype. I'm a dog therian. This is the third kintype I discovered, but the one I've been feeling the longest. Ever since I was a child, I've been obsessed with dogs. In fact, I think they might've been my first ever special interest. I loved reading about breeds, classifications, and learning about everything I could. I have memories of myself as a child dressing up as a dog, barking, walking on all fours...

It was not until I discovered the alterhuman community that I realized I was just a dog. It was obvious, really. Finding my breed was a bit harder, but I landed on greyhounds because they're a lot like me in a lot of aspects: Chill, gentle, sensitive, reserved... Just like me for real.

My coat is grey, and I have dark eyes. I'm skinny and my fur is very short and well groomed. Just a regular dog, really.

This kintype is 100% psychological. My friends joke around sometimes that I'm the "dog friend" of the group, because I just act like them a lot. I love to play, run around, chase things.

Who am I?

Like I said before, I'm an alterhuman with too many time on its paws. My name is Watcher, I'm an adult, and I love to create. I wanted to create a little site just for myself, way from the internet drama and stress. This web is my den, my safe space, that I created by myself so I could be creative and do whatever I wanted with it.

I'm a college student, studying Social Education.

I love to make art, I'm an artist. I love to draw in a cartoonish style with detailed shadows and lights. I've been drawing since 2019, zero background, just learning from tips and tricks from the internet and practicing. A lot. I love to draw animals, some would say that I'm a "furry" because of that, but the truth is that I'm just a creature with the power to create in its claws. I like to draw my own ocs, since I also like to write, but I also draw Warrior cats characters, dogs, foxes, wolves, and birds. I know how to draw humans, but mostly I draw animals.

I'm also a writer. I like to write mostly fantasy and science fiction. I love the process of creating worlds and bringing life to them, inspired by books I read. I really like to write conflicts between characters, family drama, ethics and politics, discrimination, etc. Most of my books paint those themes in one way or another. Right now, I'm re-writing a story I've been working on for a really long time, in order to (hopefully) publish it. That's because I've been making a lot of changes to the characters, the worldbuilding, and the plot, it's been taking me a long time.

For those curious, the story is about a world ruled by animals. In this world, humans don't exist, and animals are inteligent. Animals live in packs, that are like little cities, and they defend themselves against the Wilds, smart and corrupted creatures that hunt them when the sun sets. The main character, a fox cub called Rax, grew up in a pack, but he's different from the rest. He has weird dreams and a strange connection to the Wilds: They don't attack him, and it seems the pack has seen more close sightings since he's lived there. Because of that, Rax runs away from his pack to try to figure out why he's different, before war threatens to destroy the only home he has known. With nowhere to go or family to support him, the young fox ventures into the Wilds forest to try to find answers to his questions. Questions that could have unexpected answers for his future and his destiny.

  • Terms

This is for everyone who may not know what the terms I mostly use in this blog mean. Some people may be new to alterhumanity, and that's okay, so here's a useful list of basic terms that the community uses! They will be sorted alphabetically, of course.

    Alterhuman

Alterhuman (derived from the term 'Alternative Humanity Personal Identity' also known as AHPI) is a category of personal identity which encompasses identification that is alternative to the common societal idea of humanity.

    Otherhearted

The term 'otherhearted', refers to someone who involuntarily identifies with, or who has a strong connection with something. This 'something' can be anything, including (but not limited too) animals (animalhearted), fictional characters (fictionhearted), and even inanimate objects (this would be considered otherhearted). The term can be spelt with or without a hyphen (e.g. otherhearted, other-hearted), however, it is more commonly spelt without the hyphen.

    Nonhuman

To identify as not human either fully or partially. Used both as an umbrella term and a standalone identity.

    Therian

A therianthrope, most simply, is someone who involuntarily identifies as a non-human animalistic creature. Therians are able to identify as more than one creature at a time. These identities can be: physical, non-physical, mythological, earth animals and more.

    Otherkin

Otherkin (otherkind) are those who identify as not entirely human on a non-physical level.

The difference between otherkin and therianthropy is kintypes (theriotype), which can be generally described as mythological, e.g.: dragons, fae (magical creatures), angels, demons, satyrs, and others.

As with therians, the identity someone identifies as is considered to be involuntary.
